Just over a month ago, the best new all things NYC site for young New Yorkers launched. TheFunkyApple.com is hilarious, and filled with deals and tips. I’ve absolutely loved the site and check it out daily, so I am super excited to announce that StopNReflect has a new home at TFA!
From here on out, I will be posting all the NYC hot mess bad fashion pictures on The Funky Apple. The whole site is great, but if you just want to scroll through the StopNReflects, simply go to the Fashion category and click on the Bad Fashion drop down.
I’ll be posting today’s StopNReflect within the next hour, and you know where to find it! Also, I have a new contact email: StopNReflect@thefunkyapple.com Send all of your bad fashion pics there 🙂

First and foremost, I just want to apologize for the last couple of months. My computer died, my phone was stolen, and I also have been working on two huge papers (70+ pages). But that is all over now (well… not the papers lol). I have missed you guys and your hilarious comments, and I am really excited to get started again.
So with that being said, happy new year (and new decade!) – let’s hope it is a more fashionable one! But I will be catching the worst hot messes, just for you 🙂

Hello all my stylish readers!
Thanks for your continuing support and comments – every one makes me smile 🙂 I am sorry I have been less than consistent with the posting lately, but work is craaazy right now. I have some pictures to upload tonight though, so there will be a new hot mess waiting for you in the morning hehe
Today, I have something else wonderful for you: Two amazing blogs, and they both that love StopNReflect too – they have featured the site, and said some blush-and-happiness inducing things about it 😀
Each offers a wonderful mix of hilarity and thought-provoking writing – check them out! (And thanks again to both of the lovely authors!)
And if you are not already, follow StopNReflect on Twitter! https://twitter.com/StopNReflect Although I thought Twitter was silly at first, it is great, and I have found some amazing, witty people on there *waves* So if you are not on it yet, I def recommend it

No. You are not allowed to consider Jim Jones a fashion icon. Tattoo sleeves and Ed Hardy? Stop. But I feel like even Jim Jones’ punk ass (http://bossip.com/91392/jim-jones-an-ahole-to-the-fullest/#more-91392) would have had at least pretended like he was trying to match, and done better than those candy cane shorts.
Oh yeah, and this is our 100th post!!! I just want to stop and thank all my lovely readers, including all those silent ones that stop by every day and never say anything lol (I would love to hear from you guys!) And an extra special thanks to my regular commenters – I appreciate every last one of you! I also want to thank everyone who has added us to your blogrolls, and tweeted about us, and told your friends 😀 Keep it going! We are growing steadily, and set to take over the world as the best bad fashion blog on the streets 😉

Hello my lovely readers! Sorry for the lack of posts, but I am currently in Madrid. I am spending euros just to get online and let you know that I miss you, but I will be back in NYC on Wednesday, with tons of international pictures – There is certainly a lot of hot mess in Spain… Maybe I need to start franchising lol!
Until then, adios!

I would like to sincerely apologize to all my loyal readers – I am sincerely trying to post a new bad fit everyday, but a bunch of really ridiculous cicumstances (including two flight cancellations, an unexpected overnight layover in the D, and the fact that my laptop now promptly dies every three minutes) have ganged up on me to make that impossible over the past few days. I don’t have any pics on this borrowed comp, but I will be back up within the next two days, no matter what. Promise.
Sorry again, and Merry Christmas!!! Happy Holidays 🙂

Hey everyone! I am so glad I have already gotten so many hits in the first few hours of my blog, but I would really love it if you left a comment to let me know what you think, or even just letting me know you stopped by.
Also, I want to mention that I will be updating with a new picture daily, and if you have any that you would like to be featured, feel free to send them to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration. I will be sure to credit you for your photo, and any clever caption you might come up with 🙂

When I moved to NYC about a year and a half ago, I knew I had found my home. I absolutely love it here. One thing did surprise me, however: The abundance of absolutely horrendous outfits. Now I know that there are days when fashion is at the bottom of one’s priorities – I don’t expect people to be perfectly put together every day of the week. I know I’m not. But there is an enormous difference between a lackluster ensemble and one that assaults my senses with its sheer ridiculousness. Only the latter will be featured on this blog 🙂
I actually started gathering material for this blog about a week after I moved here, when I was at the bar with my friend, and saw something inexplicable on a girl’s head (see my first photo post). I couldn’t resist, and snapped a picture, using my friend as a decoy. Once I got a few more, I started posting my bad fashion pics on facebook, much to the delight of my friends. However, I didn’t realize how popular my album had become until I received a spontaneous round of applause from some upperclass students (most of whom I barely knew) in the hallways of my law school. They urged me to start a website, but I was too busy trying to survive 1L year.
Since then, I have discovered similar websites, like streetboners.com, and the Do’s and Don’ts of ViceMag.com. They are both amusing (though Vice is past its prime), but New York has more than enough bad fashion to go around. I hope to showcase some of it here, and I look forward to your comments on each and every ridiculous get up 😀
Finally, the name of this blog comes from a phrase my friends and I frequently used to point out a questionable outfit. It is also the title of my original facebook album. Moreover, some reflection might have prevented these fashion travesties from happening in the first place lol.
